When Is Blueberry Season in Maine?

One of the questions we hear most often is, “When is blueberry season in Maine?”

While every summer is a little different, our blueberry season typically begins in mid to late July and continues through August.

The exact timing depends entirely on Mother Nature. Warm spring weather, summer sunshine, and rainfall all affect when the berries ripen. Some years the bushes are ready a little earlier, while other seasons they take their time.

As different varieties ripen throughout the season, there’s always something new to pick, which helps keep fresh blueberries available for several weeks.

Before making the trip, we always recommend checking our website or social media for the latest picking updates.
